GP Electronics was formerly based in the city of Durham, in the North East of England. In 2008, we moved the centre of our operations to Boroughbridge in the West Riding of Yorkshire. In 2011, we moved again, to Ripon in North Yorkshire. Our electronics laboratory specialises in the supply of replacement lighting ballasts. Business and sales are supervised by our Operations Manager, Christine Hardcastle.

The company was established in 1991 and now has over 200 customers throughout the UK. Our technical director has a BSc in Electrical Engineering and was involved in the design and development of electronic equipment for Thorn Lighting before he set up GP Electronics.
We have a close working relationship with all the major ballast manufacturers and carry an extensive stock of hundreds of different ballast types. We can provide advice to engineers and wiring diagrams whenever required. |

Electronics Toolkit Second Edition An electronics reference book titled The Newnes Electronics Toolkit was written by Geoff Phillips and published in 1993 by Butterworth Heinemann (a division of the Reed-Elsevier Group). The book is a collection of useful practical information amassed during 30 years in the electronics industry. It features electronic facts, tips, data and examples to show best practice in the design of electronic circuits. The book has been recently revised and re-printed. The new edition has many additional topics such as field-effect transistors, variable resistors and a new chapter on sensors and transducers.
